Sub Soil license map

Your tool for reviewing awarded license, areas available for application, areas going to auction, some natural protected areas and very high-level geological data. The Government is working to keep this website up to date but it should not be 100% relied upon for the legal status of an area or license.

KazGeoInform

Historical reports available in the national database. To purchase these reports you need to sign a contract with KazGeoInform and then request the reports. They will provide you with an invoice (some are higher as reports are unscanned and require time and labor to do so). Not all reports are on this system. Often you will need to visit the local office or office in Astana to review their complete list. For this you will need an appointment.

Government License Auctions

When the RoK has a mineral license with historic reserves on the state balance sheet, they will often be put up for auction. The license data is not very detailed and not always reliable so do your own research prior to participating in an auction.

Land Cadaster

Land ownership information. This is required for servitude (land access) approval by the owner prior to any physical, on the ground exploration or development work. The Land Cadaster does not provide name or contact information, however, so you need to apply to the local Akimat (municipality) for that information (and pay for it).
